While OC-Buzzard enjoys flying fighters as and when a mission
requires, he is a Bomber
man first and foremost with the B-17G Flying Fortress in
particular being his aircraft of choice.
Well known, both as a skilled flight leader and
as having an uncanny eye for accuracy in the bombardiers role
when
it comes to getting bombs on target from high altitudes, which, combined with his ability to knock down
attacking fighters from any of the gunners positions and you
have a combination of skills that make for an aircraft and
crew that are much feared by the enemy.
Many years with flight sims have honed his piloting
skills to a level that few reach - it is not uncommon to see
him bring home an aircraft that is badly damaged and get it
down in one piece when others would have considered it lost
many miles back.
